1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your session and preferences.

This Cookie Policy explains how myAngelVault Kft. (see contact details below) uses cookies and similar technologies on the myAngelVault platform (the "Service"). It supplements our Privacy Policy.

2. Our Approach: Essential Cookies Only

We use only strictly necessary (essential) cookies — cookies that are required for the Service to function. We do not use:

• advertising or marketing cookies,
• third-party tracking pixels,
• cross-site analytics or profiling tools,
• social media tracking.

Separately, we do use privacy-preserving product analytics (PostHog, hosted in the European Union) to understand how the Service's features are used — this is not cross-site or profiling analytics: it is cookie-free, and PostHog itself sets no cookies or persistent storage on your device. (See "Session attribution storage" below for the separate, short-lived entry we use to credit a signup to its traffic source.)

Because all cookies we set are strictly necessary for providing the Service you request, they are exempt from the consent requirement under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC). This is why the Service does not display a cookie consent banner.

3. Cookies We Use

• Purpose: keeping you signed in securely and maintaining your session
• Type: first-party, essential
• Duration: session-based, with a maximum lifetime of 30 days

• Purpose: protecting your account against unauthorized actions (e.g., CSRF protection)
• Type: first-party, essential
• Duration: session-based

• Purpose: remembering your preferences within the Service, and attributing a referral invitation if you arrived via a referral link
• Type: first-party, essential for the requested functionality
• Duration: up to 30 days

• Purpose: when you arrive via a campaign or referral link, remembering the arrival source (e.g., UTM parameters and referring site) for the duration of your browser session, so that a subsequent registration can be attributed to its source
• Type: first-party, browser sessionStorage (not a cookie)
• Duration: session-based; removed when you register, and cleared when the browser session ends

Payment pages served by our payment processor (Stripe) may set their own strictly necessary cookies for fraud prevention and payment security; these are governed by Stripe's own policies.

4. Managing Cookies

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that because all our cookies are essential, disabling them will prevent parts of the Service (such as signing in) from functioning correctly.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The updated version becomes effective upon publication, with the "Effective date" updated accordingly. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will implement a consent mechanism before doing so.
