myAngelVault is operated by myAngelVault Kft., a limited liability company registered in Hungary (referred to as “we”, “our”, or “us” throughout this Policy).

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information and user-generated content when you use the myAngelVault platform (the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

We may collect the following information when you create an account or use the Service:

Name
Email address
Phone number (when provided for verification or notification purposes)
Account credentials
Payment information (processed by Stripe; we do not store full card details)
User-generated content, including messages, photos, videos, files, and instructions (“User Content”)
Guardian-related information (names, email addresses, phone numbers, relationship labels)
Recipient information you provide for scheduled deliveries

You are responsible for ensuring that any information you provide is accurate and lawful, and that you have the right to share information about third parties (such as Guardians and recipients).

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you access the Service, we may automatically collect:

IP address
Browser type and device information
Operating system and app version
Access timestamps
Usage and interaction data (for security and functionality)
Activity signals related to the Heartbeat monitoring system

We do not use this information to profile users for advertising purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We process your information solely for the following purposes:

To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
To create and secure your account and prevent unauthorized access
To enable content storage, scheduling, and delivery mechanisms
To operate the Heartbeat monitoring system
To facilitate Guardian verification workflows
To process payments and manage subscriptions
To communicate essential service-related messages
To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents
To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal data and do not use data for targeted advertising.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Where the EU GDPR applies, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you have subscribed to
Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud, and improve functionality
Legal obligation — where processing is required by applicable law
Consent — where you have explicitly consented to specific processing

5. User Content & Sensitive Information

User Content stored in myAngelVault may include sensitive, emotional, or deeply personal information. You acknowledge and agree that:

You choose what content to upload or store
You are solely responsible for the nature, accuracy, and legality of such content
We do not review, interpret, or validate User Content
Encrypted storage protects User Content from unauthorized access

6. Guardians & Third Parties

When you designate a Guardian, you provide limited personal information about that individual. Guardians:

Receive only the minimum information necessary for verification purposes
Do not have access to your stored User Content unless explicitly delivered to them
Are not provided with account credentials or full account access
May decline the Guardian role at any time

7. Email & Notifications

We may send communications related to account creation, security alerts, heartbeat verification, delivery events, subscription and billing, periodic reminders, and important service updates. We do not send marketing emails unrelated to the Service unless you have separately opted in.

8. Data Storage & Security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your data, including:

Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest (256-bit AES)
Secure authentication mechanisms, including optional Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Role-based access controls within our infrastructure
Regular security review of systems and practices

However, no system is 100% secure. You acknowledge that data transmission and storage may involve inherent risks.

9. Service Providers and Sub-Processors

We engage carefully selected third-party service providers:

Microsoft Azure (cloud infrastructure and storage) — Canada Central
Stripe, Inc. (payment processing) — United States
Twilio Inc. (SMS, voice, and verification) — United States
SendGrid (Twilio) (email delivery) — United States

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

10. International Data Transfers

myAngelVault is operated from Hungary (EU). Your data may be transferred to and processed in the EU/EEA, the United States, and Canada. For transfers outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

11. Data Retention

We retain personal data and User Content for as long as your account remains active, as necessary to provide the Service, and as required by law. After account deletion, your User Content will be permanently removed within 30 days.

12. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA), you may have the following rights:

Right of access — obtain confirmation and access to your data
Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
Right to erasure — request deletion of your data
Right to restriction of processing
Right to data portability
Right to object
Right to withdraw consent
Right to non-discrimination (CCPA)

13. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use only essential cookies necessary for the operation of the Service (session, security, functional). We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or cross-site analytics tools.

14. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice (typically 30 days).

1. Acceptance of Terms

The Service is provided by myAngelVault Kft., a limited liability company registered in Hungary (“myAngelVault”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

By accessing or using the myAngelVault platform (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

myAngelVault is a digital platform that allows users to:

Securely store messages, photos, videos, files, and instructions (“User Content”)
Configure delayed, scheduled, or conditional delivery of such content
Appoint trusted third parties (“Guardians”) to assist in verification processes
Monitor account activity through an automated Heartbeat system

The Service provides technical mechanisms only. myAngelVault does not guarantee outcomes, delivery success, timing accuracy, recipient interpretation, or recipient actions.

3. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must be at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract, and not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activity that occurs under your account
Providing accurate and current information
Promptly notifying us of any unauthorized access or security breach

5. Subscription, Billing and Cancellation

The Service is offered on a subscription basis. We may offer a free trial period (currently 14 days). Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until canceled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.

EU consumers retain their statutory withdrawal rights where applicable under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all User Content you submit. By using the Service, you grant myAngelVault a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

You are solely responsible for:

The content you create or upload
Its accuracy, legality, and appropriateness
Any consequences resulting from its delivery or interpretation
Ensuring you have the right to upload and share such content

7. Heartbeat & Monitoring Features

The Heartbeat and monitoring features operate on a best-effort, technical basis. You acknowledge and agree that:

Heartbeat features are NOT life-detection, medical, or emergency systems
You must not rely on the Service for emergency, medical, safety, or time-critical purposes
False positives, false negatives, missed signals, or system limitations may occur
We are not liable for premature, delayed, or missed deliveries

8. Delivery & Guardian Model

Delivery may depend on automated signals, user inactivity indicators, scheduled triggers, or Guardian confirmation. Guardians act solely as verification facilitators and do not control User Content. myAngelVault does not guarantee that delivery will occur, will occur at a specific time, or that recipients will receive, read, or understand the content.

9. Prohibited Use

You may not use the Service to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Harass, threaten, harm, or defame others
Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, or harmful
Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
Distribute malware or attempt to compromise the Service
Reverse-engineer or decompile the Service

10. No Advice Disclaimer

The Service does not provide legal, medical, psychological, financial, estate planning, or other professional advice. All content delivered through the Service is user-generated.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, myAngelVault shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or emotional damages. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless myAngelVault Kft. from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Termination and Account Lifecycle

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. Upon account deletion, your User Content will be permanently deleted within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate access for violations. If we discontinue the Service, we will provide at least 90 days’ notice.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice (typically 30 days) via email or in-app notification.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Budapest, Hungary, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.

16. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and myAngelVault. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right shall not constitute a waiver. We are not liable for failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).
